Paul Rose - Director

Paul has nearly 30 years Construction Equipment Distributor experience, including over 25 years with Marubeni-Komatsu Limited, where his he spent over 5 years as Marketing Director. He has been involved in all aspects of new and used machine supply and has a wealth of knowledge in both domestic and international markets.

Paul joined R.Cripps & Co back in 1979, distributors of International Harvester, Hymac and Hanomag construction range and IHCase farm machinery. After gaining qualifications in Business Studies, Paul joined Marubeni-Komatsu in 1983, initially working in the Sales Administration and Used Equipment Departments. Over the years he has gained extensive experience in most of the divisions that make up a modern distributor network, including Administration, Shipping, Marketing, Direct Sales (new and used), Customer Support, Credit Control and Used Equipment working at all levels as Administrator, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Manager, General Manager and Main Board Director. He is familiar with operating at all levels and has seen a number of ‘booms and busts’.

During his time in construction equipment Paul has specialised in Used Equipment and ReMarketing and has been instrumental in developing new systems and programmes with the manufacturer, in this case Komatsu. Marubeni-Komatsu Limited was the first European Komatsu Distributor to develop and introduce Dealer Qualified, a programme to improve used machine quality, provide warranty comfort to users, increase customer product perception and enhance resale values.

As well as an impressive knowledge of the UK Plant customer base and overseas markets, Paul has over 25 years experience in plant valuation and residual value setting, involving customer buybacks, finance buybacks and operating leases.
